KINDERGARTEN COURSES

Physical Education is developing the skills, knowledge and confidence to make good decisions for personal fitness.  Physical Education classes for Kindergarten  students focus on safety, personal space, balance, motor skills, simple games, play and fun.

1ST-3RD GRADE COURSES
Physical Education is developing the skills, knowledge and confidence to make good decisions for personal fitness. Physical Education classes for First through Third grade students focus on low organized games, balances, mature form in motor skills, rhythmical patterns, pulse points, warm-up and cool down, teamwork, honesty, cooperative activities and enjoyment of physical activities.
4TH-5TH GRADE COURSES
Physical Education is developing the skills, knowledge and confidence to make good decisions for personal fitness.  Physical Education classes for Fourth and Fifth grade students focus on cooperative and competitive activities, lead up games, mature motor skills, dance patterns, effects of diet and exercise, proper etiquette in physical activities and games, cultural games and dances, health and skill related fitness, target heart rate, personal responsibility, fair play, value of physical activity for personal well-being and positive feelings from participating in physical activity.
6TH-8TH GRADE COURSES
Physical Education is developing the skills, knowledge and confidence to make good decisions for personal fitness.  Physical Education classes for Middle Grade students focus on lead up and modified team sports, individual sports, cooperative activities, mature motor skills, dance, injury prevention, assessment of personal fitness levels, stress reduction, proper sport etiquette, actions of major muscle groups, calculating heart rate during periods of activity, calculating caloric expenditure, writing short and long term fitness goals, conflict resolution, fair play, leadership and enjoyment of physical activities.
HIGH SCHOOL FITNESS FOR LIFE I AND II COURSES
All courses, both face to face and Online, are academically rigorous in nature and provide students with the knowledge to assess fitness levels and build lifelong fitness plans.
